Stewardship of Treasure
We’re called to share gifts from God with others. This is stewardship.
Stewardship is our response to God’s generosity. Please prayerfully consider how you will respond to the call for this year’s parish stewardship, which supports St. John Vianney, our ministries. Together with our parish family, seeds of stewardship can grow. Please fill out and return your 2025 pledge card today or online using the button below.
Planning
Use the handy guide below to help you plan your yearly giving. Begin the process of planning your wise use of money by praying; asking the Holy Spirit to guide your thoughts and actions. Planning to use our financial and material resources as a good steward helps us look at daily expenses through the eyes of our relationship with God, and gain a wider view into the needs of others. May we find joy in giving, as gratitude for the blessings we have been given!
Please view our annual report to see the results of your donations to St. John Vianney.

Annual Catholic Appeal
Watch this video from Archbishop Etienne inviting you to join St. John Vianney along with thousands of other Catholics across Western Washington to make a gift to the 2024 Annual Catholic Appeal. Your support is vital to the many ministries and services offered by our regional church. To see how your gift makes an impact, I invite you to view our annual ‘Impact Report’ here.
Thank you for joining in supporting this year’s 2024 Annual Catholic Appeal.

St. Vincent de Paul
Our St Vincent de Paul Chapter at SJV needs your help. Calls from neighbors in need of help with rent, utilities, food and other necessities are increasing, and the organization's funds are quickly running low. Please consider donating to SVDP at SJV today to ensure our neighbors are able to receive the help they need.
Monetary donations are accepted by check or online through Pushpay using the donate button below. Please select "St. Vincent de Paul" in the Fund menu.
You may be able to double your donation to St. Vincent de Paul through a matching gift program. Many employers match dollar for dollar the charitable gifts their employees make, which is a terrific way to maximize your ability to contribute to a cause or organization you value. Even if you’re retired, you may still be eligible to participate in your former employer’s program.
Requesting a matching gift is normally a five minute process which must be initiated by the donor. You can do this by filling out and submitting a match form provided by your employer. Please take advantage of these programs to support your favorite charitable causes!
Afghan Refugee Relief
Update Signs of Hope:
Nabila and Farhad’s daughter, Haya, started preschool this September! In light of the recent news reports of a Taliban Manifesto putting into law harsh prohibitions on women’s actions, effectively preventing them from participating in public life, including denying them access to education, Haya’s first day of school was an emotional, joy-filled, and seemingly miraculous one for her family.
Nabila and Shamila’s parents are out of Afghanistan! They have been given green cards and will immigrate to Seattle sometime this month to live with their youngest daughter who was a minor when she fled Afghanistan and settled in Seattle a few years ago.
Shamila’s husband, Bilal has completed his interview with the US Embassy in Oman and has submitted his health evaluation. Please pray that he too will be allowed to join his family here in a few weeks. Their three children have all experienced positive starts to the school year and are excited to be back in school. We are grateful for your continued prayers and support of these inspiring families.
