Catholic Churches have successfully developed effective safety protocols. Thank you to all the ministers and volunteers who make this possible for St. John Vianney.

Please continue to stay home if you are not feeling well and celebrate Mass with us via live stream. Find more information about Live Stream Masses below.

*Sunday 9:00am Mass and Weekday Adoration & Mass are live streamed. It is possible that you may be included in the recording. By attending these Masses, you consent to being recorded and to any use of the recording. If you do not agree to this, we invite you to attend Mass at a different time or wear a surgical mask to make your face less visible.

Low-Gluten Hosts

If you have celiac disease or another type of gluten intolerance, please know that we have low-gluten hosts available for you so that you can receive the Precious Body of Christ at Communion. Just go to the sacristy after Mass and let the Priest know that you need a low-gluten Host. Please ask someone at the Welcome Table to show you where the sacristy is if you need help.

Liturgical Ministers

Liturgy is the work of the people. Liturgical ministers are called to support the gathered faithful in full, active, and conscious participation in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. If you are confirmed, please consider becoming a Liturgical Minister. If you are interested in becoming a Liturgical Minister, see Fr. Vu to schedule a training.

Altar Servers

“You are the light of the world.” -Matthew 5:14

Assist the priest during liturgy. Parish youth, who have taken First Eucharist and are at least middle school aged, interested in being altar servers need to be able to carry the cross through the church and up the steps to the sanctuary. Contact Fr. Vu if you are interested.

Sacristans

"Take care not to perform righteous deeds in order that people may see them; otherwise, you will have no recompense from your heavenly Father." -Matthew 6:1

Music Ministry Mission

The mission and purpose of the St. John Mary Vianney (SJV) Music Ministry is to assist in the liturgical celebration as taught by the Roman Catholic Church through Word, Sacrament and Service and encourage a renewal within our music ministry that would lead to more spiritual growth.

In addition to our SJV Choir, this ministry will also offer musical opportunities such as Children’s choir, Youth choir, or small instrumental and vocal ensembles for seasonal or special masses during the liturgical year.

The Choir

The SJV Choir provides music for the Sunday liturgy at 9:00am Mass from September to June, and new members are always welcome! SJV choir is open to all singers - high school age and older, regardless of musical experience. Music styles range from traditional chant and hymns to contemporary Christian music. Instrumentalists include (but not limited to): piano, guitar, cello, viola, bass and drums.  Please contact Christina Bernal for more information.
